What credit score do I need for Affirm?
Affirm uses a proprietary score, not FICO. They consider credit history, income, and existing Affirm history. Approvals start around FICO ~600 for some terms. The 0% APR 18-month tier requires stronger credit. Application is a soft pull (no score impact) — you see your real rate before committing.
Can I use HSA/FSA AND finance the rest?
Yes. Pay part with your HSA/FSA card and finance the remainder through Affirm or Synchrony. Stripe Checkout lets you split payment methods.
Does Medicare cover this?
Medicare does not currently cover stair-climbing wheelchairs as durable medical equipment. The iBot PMD has partial Medicare coverage but requires a physician prescription and 6-month appeal process. For most US buyers, HSA/FSA + financing is faster and cheaper than the Medicare path.
Will my insurance reimburse any of this?
